The brand new London Fields Sunday Market is unlike other markets as the young team who have helped grow the market from a small group of stalls to a big, bustling, lively community market have partnered with the London Fields Creative Collective, whilst maintaining their dedication to educating visitors of all ages about the sourcing of food in the thriving hub that is London Fields and Dalston.
Our market can be found tucked away in the playground of London Fields Primary School next to Broadway Market and has been a part of the London Fields Sunday routine for the past seven years. It has recently been taken over by a new young and enthusiastic team who are entirely dedicated to bringing this market back to life, with an enormous amount of success.
The same team were responsible for founding Tea with Strangers London; a group committed to turning cities into communities. In a month and a half the team have grown the market from five stalls to more than twenty five stalls and still managed to keep the community feel.
As you stroll in to the market to a live band and the smell of fresh coffee, join in with the free yoga classes taking place every Sunday and/or bring the family where a circus performer will teach you how to juggle, or a live puppet show will keep the bambinos laughing whilst you tuck into a vegan brownie or a fresh duck confit burger.
This is a produce market where you can pick up your weekly meat, fruit and veg however the partnership with The London Fields Creative Collective means we now provide:
· Donation based class: yoga, circus skills, boxing, dance
· Free Workshops such as foraging, terrarium making classes, improvisation classes for adults, boxing, story telling…
· Free Performances consisting of Live Music, Puppet Shows, Opera and much more!
The vision of the creators is to make this a platform for people to express their passions and for charities and social initiatives to raise awareness amongst their local community.
